This is a menu of 27 different homework or extension tasks. It is suitable for both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate classes, as well as KS3 and KS4. The tasks have been separated into ‘mild’, ‘medium’, and ‘hot’ tasks based on ‘literacy’, ‘creativity’ and ‘something else’. Here are some examples of tasks: Mild: “Write down 5 key words from this topic and their definitions in your own words.” (Literacy) Medium: “Create a revision poster by summing up the key points. Use examples, pictures, diagrams etc.” (Creativity) Hot: “Pretend to be the teacher. Design a homework task for the students in this class.
